Today is the final day of this week’s peak King Tides in Hallandale Beach.
High tide arrives at 10:30 a.m. at 3.7 feet, so low-lying streets, driveways, and parking areas may still see standing water this morning. Tides ease slightly over the next couple of days, but a little extra water is still possible through Oct. 30.
If you’re heading out, avoid driving through flooded streets. Saltwater can damage your vehicle, and water is often deeper than it looks.
Mark your calendar for the next peak windows:
November 5 – 11 (3.3 ft – 3.4ft)
November 24-26 (3.0ft – 3.6ft)
Thanksgiving morning peaks can reach 3.6ft, so plan ahead if you’re traveling or hosting.
