City of Dania Beach meeting last night where the developer was asking for plat and site plan approval. Vice Mayor Salvino made the motion to approve, but no second. Motion fails. That is Mayor Joyce Davis, Commissioners Lori Lewellen, Luis Rimoli and AJ Ryan did the right thing – Brenda Lee Chalifour

Development can absolutely bring economic growth to Hollywood, but it needs to happen where it makes sense and as part of a long-term plan. We should protect the areas reserved for our community, public spaces, and beaches while encouraging responsible development in areas where it can succeed and strengthen our local economy. A well-planned city grows for the benefit of the entire community. Unfortunately, Hollywood still needs a clearer vision that connects development with our economic needs, infrastructure, residents, businesses, and quality of life. Too many decisions seem to happen as opportunities arise instead of being guided by one strong, long-term plan. What we see today is the result. We need thoughtful development, not simply more development.
Dania Beach wishes they had more beach to develop. They already filled up Stirling Road, Griffin Road and Dania beach blvd with condos and apartments. They build just as fast as Hollywood. It just appears different lol
Mayor Joyce Davis, Commissioners Lori Lewellen, Luis Rimoli and AJ Ryan thank u
Wow, complete opposite of city of Hollywood. They would’ve made that a high-rise
