A camera network that watches millions of cars every day says it does not want to be watched back 📸 Flock Safety runs one of the largest license plate reader systems in the United States with more than 120000 cameras nationwide. Reports show Flock employees called local police after members of the public tried to film them installing cameras in shared spaces. The company later said it does not object to the public or press photographing its cameras or staff but added that field workers may contact police if they feel followed or threatened.
This comes as more than fifty cities canceled Flock contracts this year over privacy concerns 🚔 It raises a simple question many people can relate to about which side of the camera feels comfortable 🤔
