Could someone who really knows please explain… Where does all the sewage from the buildings located right on the ocean shore actually go? Maybe I’m wrong, but I heard that it goes into the ocean… and where do the waves and currents carry all of that? Doesn’t it end up near the beaches where we swim? And how many times this year have they already announced that swimming is not allowed because of high levels of these… waste materials in different parts of Florida? Please tell me if someone knows… most likely I’m wrong. Thank you.
Seems to me the elected officials do not listen to the community that they are elected to represent.
’ve been thinking about selling my house and moving out of Hollywood. This helps my decision.
More cement in a paradise
Up a little south from there the city approved re routing of surf road in order to shoehorn a 14 story condo building in two small lots. This is between Hyacinth and Greenbriar. No stories anywhere in this. Big politics going in here with the developer. Surf Road will be squeezed to a horseshoe configuration to go around this behemoth. No mention anywhere about this. A construction fence is already up around the vacant lots which are on the ocean front.
n past years Hollywood would not allow anything like this to happen. There was only individually owed business- no franchises. Then they let DQ on the Broadwalk and the store in the corner of Johnson St (can’t think of the name). Little by little the individual shops were lost😢😢
Hollywood selling out like Miami
Within 5 years, none of the units will qualify for Homestead Exemption. All will be in the hands of investors and second homes for people up north.
Did you really thing it was going to go differently?
Nice!!!
Block the ocean view with skyscrapers
Follow the money
There goes the neighborhood…
Oh! I thought the Hollywood commissioners were protecting us from Live Local
Vote for Adam Roberti District 5! He was there to voice opposition for those of us who are against this👍🏼 His opponent was not.
Affordable rentals?🤔
As Biily Joel said…say goodbye to Hollywood
What. Surprised?
I can't find words to describe the continual marching on of stupidity up and down the southeast coast. Oh, I think I just did. By the way: a massively tall building has the potential to do as much harm to the environment and to people's quality of life as a sprawling complex that has only a few stories, despite what they profess to have done to make it all nice and shiny. Water and flooding and nature's forces will still find a way.
GREED
Thanks DeSantis
The first of many to come.
Another Sunny Isles. So Much for the Hollywood we love
