An idea for an app that would let people upload their unpaid bills so that “bored billionaires” can swipe right and cover them has gone viral on X, spreading widely enough that a software developer has now announced he is building it.
The concept traces back to a post from X user La-Ndlovu, who wrote that there should be an app where you upload your bills and bored billionaires swipe right to pay them. The post, shared under the handle @destiny_ndlovu, quickly drew attention for turning the familiar swipe-based format of dating apps into a tool for direct, person-to-person charity, with one reply comparing it to Tinder for charity.
The idea did not stay theoretical for long. A day after the original post, La-Ndlovu announced that Denis Kasala, of a company called Kasala Technologies, had taken up the concept and begun building it into a working product. La-Ndlovu wrote that an idea born on X was turning into something that could genuinely change people’s lives.
The pitch has since spread beyond its original platform, resurfacing on Threads and in local commentary elsewhere, including a column in El Paso referencing the same premise of uploading mortgages, car payments and utility bills for billionaires to pay off. No launch date, funding details or verification process for the app have yet been made public, and it remains unclear how donors would be matched with bill-payers or how claims of need would be checked before a payment is made.
