HIV used to be a death sentence. Now it’s a diagnosis you can grow old with.
That’s where medicine has landed. HIV is officially no longer a terminal disease.
The reason is modern Antiretroviral Therapy, or ART. It pushes the virus down to undetectable levels, and people on treatment are living normal lifespans.
Think about what that means for anyone who remembers the fear. Whole generations heard there was no way out.
That story is over.
What’s left is a condition people manage, not one that decides how their life ends.
