Hollywood Fire Rescue wants our community to be prepared for King Tides. These tides are higher-than-normal tides that can cause temporary coastal and street flooding, even when it isn’t raining.
For 2026, anticipated King Tide periods for South Florida include:

📅 September 26–30
📅 October 7–13
📅 October 24–30
📅 November 6–9
📅 November 23–26
Stay safe:
• Avoid driving through flooded roadways
• Never walk or drive through moving water
• Be aware of changing water levels near the beach and low-lying areas
• Monitor weather and local conditions before heading out
• Give yourself extra time when traveling during peak tides
