This is simple - call a general meeting of community homeowners , get quorum and vote out the board and vote a by law that prevents increase being greater than at a specific rate. The HOA board is overwritten by majority in a full meeting most likely in their by laws
Did you meet Quorum? File a complaint with Secretary of State? Ask for a financial audit? Is each board member in good standings and qualified to hold office? Pull your by-laws and convanants?
Maybe this is the way to push out the HOA
Why would they even be $1,200?
Why would you EVER live in an HOA?
I noticed that too but then the home owner said who has an extra 90k a year laying around, either way all three numbers are ridiculous.
if you read the article there’s a note at the end that says it was originally $7500 but then they changed it to $2500 after the news article aired.
Is it $2500 or $7500? There's a typo somewhere
it also says 90k yr which is 7500/m
The article says $2500 not $7500.
We need to bring the same energy into banning HOA’s as we do Home Wholesalers
That will help with the homeless crisis.
100% criminal activity going on here. I have seen it before. The first thing to look at would be the board of directors, possibly property management. If this complex is still owned by the developer, that’s another huge red flag.
So, just wondering, it seems that an HOA is supposed to earmark the expenditures for the money collected in fees, then spends that money on these expenses. These should not be used for anything other than what benefits the overall community. Seems like it would be difficult to justify the raise in fees
You could not offer me anything to live in a HOA if the house was free
