I am writing anonymously to bring attention to a serious safety concern involving the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood.
A team member of the Diplomat was struck by a vehicle today at around 8am while attempting to cross ocean drive (A1A) This incident raises serious questions about pedestrian safety in the area, especially since the pedestrian bridge was removed.
The bridge provided a safer way for guests and employees to cross the road. Now, guests are expected to cross the street while carrying luggage, sometimes with children, and employees also have to cross the roadway as part of their daily routines.
This is not just an inconvenience—it is a safety issue. The incident involving a team member today should serve as a warning that something needs to be done before someone is seriously injured or killed.
I hope you will consider looking into why the bridge was removed? what safety measures are currently in place? and whether enough is being done to protect both resort guests and employees.
People’s safety should come before saving money or reducing costs.
I am choosing to remain anonymous because I am concerned about potential consequences for speaking publicly, but I believe this issue deserves attention.
Thank you for taking the time to look into this matter.
