My wife has been talking to me about how much she doesn’t appreciate moving the Southernmost Point bouy to a different location. Her argument was that it wasn’t the Southernmost Point anymore and is now just a tourist attraction. Upon doing some research we find out it’s never actually been located at the Southernmost Point and therefore has always just been a tourist attraction. What are your thoughts?— at Key West.

The Southernmost point is a mile South on the Naval Base, I mapped it!
Does it change the experience if the coordinates aren’t exact? Maybe it’s been a tourist attraction since it’s been known as the Southernmost point for how long?
I remember yeas ago there would be one guy standing near the Buoy to offer folks to take their pic next to the Buoy this is before cell phones. Folks would then tip him and that is how he made his money. There was never a line. We knew it wasn’t exactly 90 miles but so what. It was a tourist attraction nonetheless
Temporary location only. Navy base is actually southern most anyway

It is in a temporary location and will be moved back to the old spot later. The actual southernmost point is on the base there and the general public can't get there so they put it close.
The southernmost point is actually at the naval base.
