· · 01.10.2026 11:30

Rob Majury, a retired police lieutenant from New Jersey, sh*t and k*lled an 18-year-old man who had been stalking his 14-year-old daughter after the man broke into the family’s Naples, Florida, home armed with a shotg*n. Authorities declined to charge Majury, citing the state’s stand your ground law.
The daughter, TikTok creator Ava Majury, had built a large following on the app when a follower identified as Eric Rohan Justin, of Ellicott City, Maryland, began messaging her obsessively across Snapchat, Instagram and other platforms. Justin pleaded with her to unblock him, sending Venmo payments of $159.18, then $100, then $368.50 with the message, “sorry this is all I have left i’m broke.” Rob Majury texted Justin directly, telling him that Ava was a minor and demanding he stop contacting her.
In the early hours of July 10, 2021, while the family slept, Justin arrived at their Naples home and used the shotg*n to blow open the front door before the weapon jammed. Majury gave chase but fell, gashing his knee, as Justin fled the property. He then armed himself and waited at the front door in case Justin returned. When Justin came back and pointed the g*n at him, Majury opened fire. “At that point I took action and neutralized the threat,” Majury said. Justin d*ed from his injuries.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office determined Majury’s actions were legally justified under Florida’s stand your ground law, and he was never charged. The family later moved houses and Ava began homeschooling, with her mother describing life afterward as involving “more security on our end, more reviews with accounts, more checking in.” Despite the ordeal, Ava has continued posting on social media, telling reporters she hoped speaking publicly about the case would serve as a lesson for others navigating threats online

Asking me like I wouldn’t support this. Any parent should be more than willing to take the life of someone who harms or plans to harm their child. If they are stalking, they will escalate. Get it out of your head that “no one deserves to die” no… Ya see, GOOD people do not deserve to die.
The individual merits of the case have to be evaluated. What, in this case, constituted 'stalking?' Was he hiding in the bushes under her window with a mask and a knife? Ok, stalking and justified. Was he knocking on the front door with a bouquet of flowers in his hand to ask her to the prom? Maybe not stalking and not justified. In this case he broke into the house with a shotgun. Ok definitely the castle doctrine applies here. I'm just saying we can't always assume when we first hear about these kinds of things.
I do support this! My best friend’s sister had a stalker back in the late 90’s. He sent her a pipe bomb in the mail and when she opened the package it exploded in her face killing her instantly.
I fully support this as it falls well within self defense/defense of others.
Nice work defending your family and your home. In NJ, there exists what's called Victim Compensation Fund which reimburses victims for their costs and/or losses. You might check if Florida has that fund in place. Good luck to you and your family. I'm sorry this happened to you.
Of course. Why is anyone questioning this? Thats the question.
Yes for sure protect your family and yourself first. Good for him and his family. Good for florida more should follow .
He killed someone who was most definitely going to do great harm to his daughter. I support any parent that goes into protective mode and protects their loved ones from evil.
Umm hell yeah I would do anything for my daughter.
I would do this for my daughter and son if someone wanted to come to my home with bad intentions
The sad thing is in some states ( blue ) they would charge him and set the stalker free, if he lived, they should make this a federal law, a constitutional amendment
Usually the story is: "after the police secured the scene" a warrant was issued for the Stalker's arrest. Thank God for Dad's that protect their children..
Ummm who wouldn't support this??? I 100% support this this should be a thing all over the world
Yes I do. The stalker gave up ALL of his rights when he started stalking her. I have a daughter and I think the father is completely justified in his actions to protect his daughter. Good for him.
Off topic, but are we really censoring the word "shot" now? At first when I read the description I thought it was saying he "shit and killed" haha 😄
Yes I support his actions but what is a 14 year old doing as an “influencer?”
I do support this!! When a person comes in your home to harm you or your family you definitely have the right to defend yourself at all costs!!
