September doesn’t feel like snake season to most Florida homeowners. It’s actually one of the times they’re most likely to show up in the yard.

One way to keep snakes out of your yards found using mothballs around the house and shed and all of the back yard been working for me .
We had several wonderful Black Racers but they are disappearing with the arrival of Rock Agama lizards. I found one Black Racer cornered by an Agama in the garage. A few days later an eviscerated Black Racer was on the front porch area. Very sad.
I doubt it when you have newcomers to the state that kill red rat aka corn snakes in the yard because they think it’s a coral snake or a rattlesnake as opposed to last September there’s just no way with people putting down stick strips from what I’ve seen on Facebook implants to fl and people that aren’t educated about reptiles killing every snake they see with a shovel and of course construction, living in East Central Florida since 1971 they have rapidly depreciated
Probably over building just like the bear population
Won't see me outside too much..
