Six Men Were Arrested After They Allegedly Kidnapped Two People From A Margaritaville Restaurant, Tortured One With Blowtorch
Six Florida men face federal kidnapping and conspiracy charges after allegedly abducting two individuals from the parking garage of the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in late May 2026.
According to a newly unsealed federal criminal complaint, the suspects terrorized the victims, used a blowtorch to burn one of them, and extorted money before the victims managed to escape.
On May 26, 2026, the victims were approached by an acquaintance, Saul Alfonso Fajardo, and an unidentified 17-year-old girl on Hollywood’s Broadwalk. They were invited to the fourth floor of the Margaritaville parking garage under the pretense of smoking marijuana.
Once in the garage, a separate vehicle arrived carrying four masked men armed with semi-automatic firearms and wearing latex gloves. The victims were pistol-whipped, slammed onto a car hood, and forced into separate vehicles.
During the drive to a remote area off U.S. 27 near the Everglades, suspect Justin Phihoang Le allegedly threatened to kill the first victim and his family. He also threatened to pull off one of the victim’s fingernails every ten minutes if money was not provided.
At a remote location dubbed “The Spot,” both victims were forced to their knees at gunpoint. Le allegedly used a blowtorch to burn a racing flag tattoo off one of the victims, declaring, “You don’t deserve to have it. I’m going to torture you”.
The suspects stripped the victims of their clothing and personal belongings. One victim was forced to transfer $400 via Zelle to the captors.
The suspects panicked and decided to drop one victim off after discovering he was wearing a GPS ankle monitor. The second victim managed to escape by successfully faking a medical seizure, which spooked the kidnappers into dumping him on the side of the road in the Weston area
