Somebody finally flipped the script on the surveillance camera.
An American man is accused of kidnapping a Flock camera. And then, allegedly, “digitally waterboarding” it.
His method? Six 4K monitors lined up in front of the thing, rapidly flashing images of license plates at it. The rate was 23,040 plates per second.
Flock cameras sit above roads reading plates all day long. That’s the whole job. This one just got its job handed back to it at a speed no actual street could ever produce, with nowhere to look away.
Honestly, it’s hard to pick a side here. The man allegedly abducted a piece of hardware and tortured it with its own favourite thing.
