Storms are repeatedly moving over the same parts of Broward County Tuesday evening, raising the threat of additional street flooding across parts of South Florida.
The National Weather Service extended a flood advisory for northern Broward County until 7 p.m. as heavy rain continued to fall across the area.
As of 6:05 p.m., Doppler radar indicated that 1 to 3 inches of rain had already fallen, with another 1 to 3 inches possible. Minor flooding was ongoing or expected to begin shortly, particularly in low-lying areas and places with poor drainage, the NWS said.
