Same here on SE 7th and SE 8th Ave where they supposedly spent two years "improving" the drainage...
When you build houses in a "Swamp", it is hard to drain water uphill. This area was always a swamp in the past that was filled in to build houses on. Water has no where to go

If the City Government maintained ALL of the ditches and canals as they are supposed to, then drainage wouldn’t be a problem!!! As it is, all of the ditches and canals are full of TRASH. They are supposed to be maintained by the City and it is the LAW that they do so. But NOBODY in this state seems to enforce any laws on the books unless it lines their pockets. 🙄🙄🙄
I think our city’s plan to allow all these high rises actually solves the flooding problem. Since our city cant figure out how to lower the flooding, they’ll just raise the people!! It’s genius!!
