Let me know when the gator goes inside someone’s house to bite them 🤣
Prob came upon a nest..a mama trying to protect her eggs as it’s the beginning of nesting season💔
A bite is a bite.., no matter size of gator, It’s a GATOR!
It Florida water get use to it 🤷‍♀️
Mating season for gators. They are more aggressive at this time of year and perhaps not the time to go floating down the river 🤔
I'd like to know how big, it's unusual to just get bit, it's usually fatal or loss of limb. They attack not bite lol. Was it a baby?
Here come the corny sayings about if the water is Wet then there are Gators in it 😩😩😩
We have an agreement. I don’t bite them they don’t bite me.
Didn’t think you could take boats up the Rainbow River.
Florida+ H2O =🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊
Gators are in all forms of water including pools I mean just use common sense especially this time of year I was born and raised here directly on withalacochee river for my back yard swam in the river never been bit by a gator or water moccasin but my dad taught us common sense also
I would like to know the size of the gator. I have only seen small ones of less that 3 feet there. Larger gators normally avoid it because of so much human activity.
This is Florida right ?
I was raised on the Rainbow. I have snorkeled within 3 feet of gators and they DO NOT just attack. The person had to have swam too close to a nest.....which his harder to do than you think. Gators will flee otherwise...they are more afraid of you than you are of them.
In Florida if the water wet there can be a gator we live among them and they live among us if u see one no u can’t pet that dog 🤣🤣🤣
How can you tell if an alligator is in the water? Touch the water. If it's wet, there is an alligator.
Only in florida would someone think it's safe to swim in a river!
This story is too fresh to assume anything. Also, gators easily lay on the bottom and sometimes in the eel grass. It may have been spooked? Wait for the details before blaming the human or the gator. (The river was crazy busy today)
I see tourist going down river Thinking they can pet that cute little swamp puppy You gotta keep your senses about you Don’t feed the gators, especially not yourself. Florida

I grew up swimming and skiing in gator infested waters without a second thought. Now that I'm 63,I wonder how I'm still alive!! Lol
Actually was just there 2 weeks ago and with the grass on the bottom u can’t see what’s under it. The water is very clear but that grass holds secrets! lol
It's mating season have to respect there boundaries
I thought they didn't like spring water where it is cold. Wow
We did one of our scuba certification dives there....saw gators but we didn't bother them and they left us alone!!
I've swam down that river since I was 3 had gators right under and beside my float... They never bothered us unless you pull off to the marsh or bank where they may have offspring or messing with them too close. This is their home we just invade it for our pleasure.
To my knowledge is the first alligator incident in this body of water.
If it's freshwater and wet in Florida then expect the presence of gators. If it's saltwater expect sharks.
Florida ~ Water ~ Gators
Well the snorkeler was in his habitat. You know they are in there. That’s their home.
was being too curious and went near the edge. it’s clear enough to where you can see your surroundings. It’s best to pay attention.
