VOYAGER 1: BEYOND THE SUN’S BUBBLE
Voyager 1 crossed the heliopause in August 2012, entering interstellar space after decades of travel. Although it has moved beyond the Sun’s protective bubble, it has not completely left the Solar System, which extends much farther toward the distant Oort Cloud. The 90,000°C plasma claim needs caution: extremely thin interstellar plasma can have high temperatures without transferring much heat.
