Water quality crisis update. Think you can leave the beach to find safe water for swimming? Think again. The feces pollution crisis is throughout South Florida, with Miami and Miami Beach leading the way in Miami-Dade.
82% of these tested sites this week came back with High feces pollution – unsafe for swimming. Miami Waterkeeper tests 11 sites along the bay. 9 out of 11 tested areas came back high for enterococcus (feces pollution.) Only one – Matheson Hammock – tested good for swimming.
