Zoo visitors couldn’t stop laughing after a young chimpanzee stole something from an elderly man—and immediately put it on.
The man was walking past the glass enclosure with an open canvas bag hanging from his shoulder. Inside, the young chimp had just finished eating and was sitting nearby with a very full, round belly.
As the man passed one of the ventilation openings, the chimp quietly reached an arm through the glass and pulled a folded white T-shirt from the bag.
The man never noticed.
A few minutes later, laughter erupted around the enclosure. When the elderly visitor turned around, he found the chimp sitting proudly on a log, wearing his missing shirt.
The shirt was clearly too tight around the chimp’s enormous post-lunch belly. But the funniest part was the message printed across the front:
“I ❤️ MY WIFE.”
The old man checked his bag, looked at the chimp, and immediately understood what had happened. Instead of getting angry, he started laughing with everyone else and pulled out his phone to take a picture.
The chimp had already eaten enough for one day.
Apparently, it was shopping for a new outfit.
